We started this breezy bonus day with 29 SSHs , tippy taps and a brief review of Leap Day Facts. We had 12 for the Q, our Saturday Qs are starting to grow, and its gonna get warmer!
The lesson I’m taking with leap day is to not be afraid to make adjustments in your life and realign your focus when necessary. Otherwise, before you know it, spring becomes fall and everything turns upside down.
Leap Day Facts-
- A year is actually 365.2425 days, so we gain approx 6 hours per year. In order to adjust (and bring order back to the universe), we add 1 day (Feb. 29th) to the calendar every 4 years.
- But not every year, years that are divisible by 100, but not by 400 do not contain a leap day (spoiler: 2100, 2200 and 2300 will not, but 2400 will.)
- In the Chinese calendar, Leap years only occur in years of the monkey, dragon and rat.
- In the 1500s, someone (F3Equinox) noticed that the vernal equinox was occuring on March 11 instead of March 21 (10 days early). So in 1582, they added 10 days to get back on schedule.
